So first thing; I'm finally breakin down and getting a more sensible commuter car. My son came out happy and healthy (although early) a few months ago. Of course I need *both my vehicles to be able to transport us all just in case 1 vehicle is down. And of course, 80 miles/day @ 21mpg is the pits. So, long and short, ordered a new ride. I decided I'd check to see if the car had a community as it was aimed at "20 somethings". Low and behold, a thriving community for it after only 1yr on the market. Unfortunately - it isn't TT.Net! The car comes in a turbo (which I of course got - still 37mpg!). It became immediately, painfully obvious that TT.Net stands alone in caliber. I read things as ridiculous as "It doesn't need higher octane, even with a tune!" to "A cold air intake? Why? The turbo is a furnace so what does it matter? There's no reason to straighten the intake tracht." .... I've got a long uphill battle. Inconceivable! Thank god for TT.Net and the ever-present willingness to educate. (or berate)
